Concept
In the centre of Paris, a stone’s throw away from the major business districts, a large-scale restructuring project for the Areva (AGF) Group, led by Arte Charpentier and delivered in 2006, involved the renovation of an entire block. The Areva group chose Arte Charpentier Interiors to decorate the group’s senior management floor when the head office moved to the site in 2007.
In accordance with the client’s expressed desire for the spaces to be treated with warmth and simplicity, a very natural range of materials was chosen. Matt finishes in earthy tones accompany the circulation routes, and carpets in monochromatic shades, and planting, define the waiting spaces. Etched glass screens by Mr. Saalburg, master glassmaker, filter the light.
Program
The management floor accommodates the offices of Anne Lauvergeon, current CEO of Areva, with adjoining terraces, a VIP dining room, waiting areas, consulting rooms and offices for the executive directors. The floor is organised around a planted central space leading to training rooms, the inter-company restaurant, an auditorium, a gym, offices, and a VIP lounge.
