The new district will be an extension of the current central business district of Beijing. In response to site dimensions, density and traffic issues, the study proposes a vertical integration of public spaces, a hierarchy of scales and a range of uses.
A central green pedestrian axis gives access to a network connecting towers, sunken gardens, metro stations, shops, restaurants and car parks. An obelisk-type tower of 400m in height dominates the scheme.
The towers accommodate a mixed programme of office space, commercial space and hotel facilities.
