Concept
In the competition initiated by Nicolas Sarkozy, Arte-Charpentier formed part of the team led by Antoine Grumbach, as one of 10 competing teams. The Grumbach team’s response is the only one to consider a vision that goes beyond the limits of the Ile de France region to propose a territory that links Paris to the estuary in Le Havre, via the Seine valley.
Program
This scheme, first envisaged by Bonaparte in 1802, takes on a whole new dimension when considering the territorial stakes on a scale that is no longer limited to the nation, but that of European networks, adding an economic dimension that links the capital to the sea, the starting point for world-wide exchange.
