Our researcher, Georgina André, returns from her first field trip to Wuhan, China, where she spent 2 months. She is in CIFRE within the agency and performs an urban geography thesis on the development of the new metropolises in central China, taking as a case study the city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, on the edge of Yangzi, and one of the privileged cities of Franco-Chinese exchanges in urban planning.
She was greeted warmly by our local partners, academics and urban planning institute, and traveled the territory by gathering some testimonies of inhabitants on their practice of this city in deep restructuring.
Thanks to this research, led by Georgina in collaboration with our urban planners, the agency continues to develop its thinking on the development of Chinese territory and more broadly on the sustainable cities of tomorrow.
