Research is central to A.R.T.E.'s approach, and to its name: Architecture, Research, Technique, Environment. R&D is at the heart of the agency’s activity. Seeking, observing, and innovating to design tomorrow's spaces: For ARTE Charpentier, research is based on the project and is for the project. Since 2016, we have established an R&D department that initiates and develops research activities in-house. Its proper functioning is ensured by a standing committee composed of members of the management and several researchers. ARTE designers are invested in different fields of research according to their interests and sensitivities. Five priority research axes and five cross-disciplinary themes have been identified on the basis of the needs and expertise specific to the agency and its projects. R&D at Arte Charpentier also includes book publications, the dissemination of knowledge (round table discussions, etc.), and collaborative research projects with French and international institutions (CNRS, WLSP, etc.) and architecture schools and universities (ENSA Paris-Belleville, La Sorbonne, Diderot, etc.).

We approach urban planning from the human scale, in all circumstances, when considring a Parisian ZAC and when deploying prospective studies and masterplans.
