On June 10, 2025, during the 7th edition of FACADES2build, dedicated this year to Façade Renovation / Rehabilitation, Antonio Frausto and Jérôme Van Overbeke spoke to share their insights on the SHIFT project, now the headquarters of Nestlé France, located in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
The event brought together numerous professionals from the architectural, technical, and construction sectors to discuss the contemporary challenges of transforming existing buildings.
SHIFT: reinventing the image of a commercial building
The SHIFT project illustrates Arte Charpentier’s commitment to sustainable architecture — respectful of built heritage and focused on quality of use. Designed to meet new environmental and societal standards, SHIFT is the result of an ambitious rehabilitation of a 1980s office building.
The transformation of its façades was at the heart of the process:
-
Architectural reinterpretation of the existing envelope,
-
Reuse of materials,
-
Thermal optimization,
-
And integration of landscaped elements into the façade.
This project reflects our holistic approach to transformation architecture, where technical innovation and care for the living environment go hand in hand.
A moment of exchange and dialogue

During their presentation, Antonio Frausto and Jérôme Van Overbeke highlighted the architectural challenges and design choices that guided the project, emphasizing the added value of thoughtful rehabilitation over demolition and reconstruction.
We warmly thank Abigaël Verrier, founder of FACADES2build, for the invitation, and all the participants for the richness of the discussions.
