The Arte Charpentier office recently welcomed a delegation from China, representing the Shanghai Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, for a visit based on cultural exchange and the sharing of urban visions.

The purpose of their visit was to discover Atrium City, a residential and landscape project located in the heart of the city, recently completed by Arte Charpentier.

This significant moment was part of a broader international dialogue on contemporary architectural practices. Through this encounter, the Chinese representatives had the opportunity to immerse themselves in an exemplary case of local urban transformation, illustrating how architecture can address global challenges—such as social and intergenerational diversity—while remaining deeply rooted in its territory.

Atrium City stands out as an ambitious project that combines architectural innovation, landscape quality, and urban integration. Designed to meet today’s needs while anticipating those of tomorrow, it reflects the commitment of the City of Clichy and its partners to propose a new way of living in the city—more sustainable, inclusive, and closely connected to nature.

For Arte Charpentier, this visit was a valuable opportunity to share its vision: to design living, meaningful spaces that foster connection and resonate well beyond their physical boundaries. Atrium City thus becomes much more than a housing development: it establishes itself as a new urban landmark, a cultural symbol, and an invitation to imagine the city of tomorrow.

This meeting also reflects the growing interest of international institutions in French architectural approaches and highlights the role of architecture as a vector for dialogue between cultures. Through this project, the City of Clichy is now part of a dynamic of international exchange on urban development.

The office would like to thank the teams at Nohée, project partners, for their involvement in this enriching and promising visit.
