Pierre Clément, chairman of Arte Charpentier Architects, has once again taken part in this year’s Franco-Chinese sustainable city forum in Wuhan, which took place on 26th and 27th September.
During two days, specialists in regional development, urbanism, environment, transport and project funding from both France and China led in-depth discussions on this urban strategy monitored at a high government level on both sides. The subjects covered in this 4th edition of the event centred on the implementation of operational projects and the role of the sustainable city in the context of more global issues such as the new Silk Roads and the climate. This follows an earlier approval of the overall planning process.
Several of our architect-urbanists who had participated in the winning competition entry for Franco-Chinese eco-city in Caidan, in collaboration with WSLP, were also present.
