Established in 1988, the Association of
Friends of Angkor’s mission is to
raise awareness of the Khmer civilization, contribute
to the restoration and maintenance of
monuments in Cambodia, and most notably the protection
of Angkor.
His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah
NORODOM SIHANOUK left the scene of the world after 90
years of a rich and eventful life.
Fully possessed by a passion for his country, he transformed the Kingdom into a modern
nation, proud and ambitious. At the end of
an unprecedented crisis he was once
again able to mobilize the
international community to bring peace,
organize the Reconstruction and engage the
general work of safekeeping and
enhancement of Angkor, for which the Association of Friends of Angkor was created.
This
special bulletin is our small token of friendship and support, especially to Her Majesty the Queen Mother Norodom Sihanouk Monineath,
His Majesty King Norodom
Sihamoni, His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Sen, and to all our Cambodian friends.
